Great news! Our programme Change the Game Academy has won the award of Best Learning Project – Public & Non-Profit Sector 2024. An honour that we are incredibly proud of!
Change the Game Academy (CtGA) is a programme initiated by Wilde Ganzen in collaboration with partners from Kenya, India and Brazil. Since 2015, the programme has offered online and offline training in local fundraising and mobilising support for civil society organisations in more than 16 countries worldwide. The goal of Change the Game Academy is to equip changemakers with the knowledge and skills to engage their communities on social issues. The basis of this is the strong belief we have in community self-reliance.
Until now, more than 4000 organisations globally have completed classroom training and implemented local fundraising activities in their communities, while more than 25.000 learners followed the online modules, available in 4 languages.
The award was won in partnership with aNewSpring, the learning platform hosting CtGA. The ceremony took place in London on 13 November 2024. This award recognises innovation in learning technologies.
“The Learning Technologies Awards are renowned for celebrating excellence in the application of technology to learning, winning the award highlights how we’ve met organizational needs while creating a lasting, measurable, and positive impact”, says Nienke Nuijens, manager at CtGA
What are the courses about?
- Local fundraising: This course focuses on how civil society organisations can find support within their own communities. The importance of this, is to reduce dependence on foreign donors or governments, and creating more diverse and sustainable sources of income.
- Mobilising support: This course focuses on how civil society organisations can advocate for their economic and social rights with relevant parties – like their national governments.
